Conditions of Sales Agreement/Kid Reservation
We make every effort to produce top-quality, purebred French Alpine goats that are both happy and healthy. Our goats can be used for dairy, show, packing or simply as pets. We breed with emphasis on strong dairy character and correct confirmation. The following is a standard term of sales agreement. Please take the time to review all conditions and terms completely.
* Deposit – Reservations are free. Since goats can have any number (usually 1-3) of kids and sexes, a reservation cannot be guaranteed. It is best to place reservations on more than one breeding pair. Once the chosen kidding occurs, a deposit of $100 per doe and $25 per wether will be required from the buyer. Deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due in cash at pick-up. An email receipt of the deposit will secure the reservation of the chosen kid(s). This receipt also acts as the buyer’s acceptance of these conditions of sale.
* Payment – Please contact us to determine the proper payment method for the reservation deposit. When picking up animals, we only accept cash, no personal checks will be taken. Balances must be paid in full at time of pick-up. The cost of doelings ranges from $400-$600 depending on the breeding pair's confirmation and dairy potential. Wethers are $125. Bucks are sold only on occasion.

* Pick-Up – If the balance is not received and/or the animal(s) is not picked up by the agreed upon date, the animal(s) will be offered to the next interested party and the deposit will be forfeited. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to the animal leaving the farm.
* Refunds – If a kid from a selected breeding is unavailable, all money will be refunded or the buyer may reserve/buy another goat from a different breeding of their choice. Franke Farm reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.
* All Sales are Final – All animals leaving our farm are healthy to the best of our knowledge. We are not responsible for animals once they have left our property. Milk production, scurs, and show quality are not guaranteed. We try our best to match the best genetics of our does and bucks.
* Registration Papers – Each doe will be sold with an American Goat Society (AGS) Bill of Sale paperwork as well as possibly ADGA registration. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay fees and register their goats into their ownership with the AGS and ADGA. Goats that are already registered cannot have their names changed. Franke Farm will allow the buyer to name their doe with advanced notice and upon approval by seller.
* Breeding Services – Franke Farm does not offer breeding services or stud services at this time. I do not usually sell intact bucks except under certain conditions. All bucks are wethered at 8 weeks of age with only some exceptions. If you need buck service, you can look up reputable breeders who provide such service through the membership page of the Northwest Oregon Dairy Goat Association website.
* Shipping – Franke Farm does not ship animals at this time. All goats must be picked up by the buyer at our farm location in Dallas, Oregon. Please contact us for driving directions.
We look forward to helping you select your beautiful new French Alpines! It is exciting to share our passion for these lovely creatures with you. Feel free to contact us with any questions or to reserve a kid/breeding of your choice. Thanks for visiting!
